Thanks to CM13 source code released by the CyanogenMod team, developers can take the code and cook custom ROMs based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. One of the developers has done so and has built the first ever Marshmallow ROM based on CyanogenMod 13 source code for the Samsung Galaxy S4 Sph-l720t.
The ROM is available for the Sph-l720t model, The CM13 build for the Samsung Galaxy S4 is unofficial and not stable. This means the ROM contains many bugs which have yet to be fixed by the ROM developer.
With the release of Android 6.0 Marshmallow build, many devices also received the Cm 13 ROM based on Android 6.0.1. Also many developers have started porting CyanogenMod to their devices especially for those that will not receive the official latest Android OS firmware from the company. Galaxy S4 Sph-l720t owners will be happy to know that they can now update Galaxy S4 Sph-l720t to the unofficial ported Cm 13 custom ROM to enjoy Android 6.0 Marshmallow. As this is an unofficial version of a custom ROM which is not officially released thus you might face some not functioning feature or minor bugs but it has been tested by various users and they reported that a lot of functions are still working so those who want to test Marshmallow on their devices may go ahead and follow the given step-by-step guide.
However, this is still the first build. New versions will be released in the future with bug fixes. Even though the ROM is nothing more than a beta build, you would be surprised to see how many things are working.

About CyanogenMod 13 Rom
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. Pre-Requisites

- Charge your phone up to 80% or 70%.
- Download the latest Samsung USB Drivers.
- You will lose the original ROM or any CUSTOM ROM if you already installed on your phone. So make sure to Backup your phone before doing this step using TWRP or CWM or any Custom Recovery.
- You can also backup all your Data.
- You must install TWRP or any Custom Recovery on your phone.
- Download all the Zip files from below and Place it in your phone’s root of internal memory or to SD Card.
- Rooting your phone will void the warranty.
- Make sure to take the complete backup of your phone before starting this process.
- Rooting your phone can damage your phone permanently.

Steps to Be Followed
Step 1: Download CyanogenMod 13 ROM latest android OS Custom ROM packages from downloads section to your PC. Do not unzip the packages.
Step 2: Connect Samsung Galaxy S4 SPH-L720T to PC using an USB cable.
Step 3: Transfer the downloaded packages into the root of phone or SD card memory.
Step 4: Once the transfer is done, disconnect the USB and turn off the Samsung Galaxy S4 SPH-L720T.
Step 5: Enter custom recovery mode on Samsung Galaxy S4 SPH-L720T.
Turn on the device by holding Volume up+Home Button + Power buttons together until you see the recovery mode.
Step 6: In custom recovery mode, you can view a list of options which are not available in Stock recovery. Among them, find and select wipe data/factory reset.
Step 7: Now perform a complete data wipe by selecting wipe cache partition.
Step 8: Once done, enter advanced options in recovery mode and select wipe dalvik cache.
Step 9: If you are done with all the above steps, you can flash the firmware package now.Select cm-13.0-20161218-NIGHTLY-jfltespr.zip. Confirm the installation and do not interrupt the process.Step 11: After completion Step 10 select reboot system now option.
