With the new LineageOS, you can enjoy the latest features which comes with Android Nougat as well as LineageOS features. This is not an official LineageOS ROM built for Galaxy Tab 3 10.1, but you can enjoy the real feature made from the LineageOS gerrit. The ROM is Stable state and can use as a daily driver. Now Download the Android 7.1.2 Nougat Lineage OS 14.1 for Galaxy Tab 3 10.1. You need a Custom Recovery like TWRP to Install Lineage OS 14.1 on Galaxy Tab 3 10.1.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 GT-P5210 Specification
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 P5210 Android Tablet was launched in June 2013. The phone has 1 GB RAM and 16/32 GB storage of internal storage which is expandable using microSD, up to 64 GB.
The Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 P5210 has a 10.1 inches WXGA, 1280 x 800 pixels display with a pixel density of 149 ppi. Coming to cameras, it has a 3.15 MP rear camera and a 1.3 MP front camera for selfies. It has a microUSB port for data syncing and charging. There is a accelerometer sensor present on the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 P5210. It is a single SIM smartphone with support for USB OTG, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS too.
The Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 P5210 runs on Android OS, v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) and all this is powered by a 6800 mAh battery. It measures 243.1 x 176.1 x 8 mm (height x width x thickness) with a total weight of 510 grams including battery.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Pre-Requisite
- This will work on Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 (Don’t Try this in Any other device):
- Charge your phone up to 80% or 70%.
- You will loose the original ROM or any CUSTOM ROM if you already installed on your phone. So make sure to Backup your phone before doing this step using TWRP or any Custom Recovery.
- You can also backup all your Data
- You must install TWRP or any Custom Recovery on your phone.

- Download all the Zip files from below and Place it in your phone internal memory or to SD card.
How to Install Lineage OS on Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 GT-P5210
- copy the Rom and Gapps to SD Card.
Boot your device in Download Mode. Confirm by clicking on ‘Volume up’ button + 'power' button.
Then install TWRP using odin .
Boot device in Recovery Mode, and wait until TWRP is loaded.
Read disclaimer and swype to start TWRP.
Click on ‘Wipe’ and confirm. Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> Dalvik Cache + System + Cache + Data.
install Lineage OS zip file rom and Gapps zip file.
reboot.
First start takes a long time.

DeleteEverything seems to be working well, but after the installation the tablet remains in a loop where it shows the samsung galaxy 3 logo and reboots over and over again. Any recommendation? Trying to reinstall again didn´t work :(

ReplyDeleteSad.. everything was going well, however the files (lineage-14.1-20190408-UNOFFICIAL-santos10wifi and open_gapps-arm64-9.0-stock-20211217) are not find by my Tab3. I try them as an open file, but also as a zip file. Both way he don't find them on the inserted SD cart. What am i doing wrong!!

DeleteI got the same issue as Joost V. The 2 zip files are copied on the SD card, but they can not be found. On the left side I see the folders (Android,LOST.DIR, etc), but on the right side there are no files visible. Is there a solution for this?
ReplyDeleteI got it. Before you go to Recovery Mode, you need to insert a SD card with the 2 files. Not after the Recovery Mode started.

DeleteI got another issue. The german keyboard which is pre-installed in this version seems to be wrong. The german keyboard is usually with the QWERTZ-layout with special letters like ö,ä,ü, but in the lineage release it comes with the QWERTY-layout and the mentioned letters are completely missing. Is there a solution for this? Is there a way to install the proper german layout? Thanks in advance.
