Lineage OS 17: Android 10 Build

ReplyDeleteDetails on my install: Device GT-I9300 with Vodafone (DE) German SIM card OpenGapps pico.
Tested: GPS (Map Factor Navigator), WLAN, mobile data (HSDPA+) phone calls, IP communication including IPSec VPN to FritzBox and Cisco firewall ASA5506, browsing, video play back.
A really amazing pice of work! Keep on supporting this old S3 model it works very well with this custom rom.
The only problem I have up to now is the unlocking of the SIM card. On every boot lineageOS requests the PUK code (8 numbers) of my Vodafone SIM card to unlock phone&mobile data services. It seems that the PUK code is not correctly stored and linked with the PIN code. I have also tried to unlock the SIM via the key-combination inside the phone-dialer: **05*PUK*PIN*PIN+ which brings up the message SIM card successfully unlock but after the next reboot the PUK code is loast again and I have to enter the PUK again at OS startup.
If you could fix this issue I would rate the provided image as 100% working and usefull.

DeleteYou are right! Unlocking the SIM-card in an other phone worked. I have now totally disabled the PIN-code in my old mobile phone and then placed the SIM-card back in the S3 and all things except this PIN unlocking issue work really great! You have done a master pice of coding, this old S3 device from 2012 is running much better with your rom as with its original Samsung Android version (V4.0.4 on it's first release) that's really unbelievable.

ReplyDeleteBut hot to get default water drop sound when touching the unlock screen, touching dektop?
The lock, unlock sounds were easy to solve by replacing from stock rom files Unlock.ogg and Lock.ogg then replacing file Effect_Tick.ogg with TW_Touch.ogg
Hoever placing file TW_Touch.ogg or Touch.ogg does not make the waterdrop sound to work on unlock screen or on desktop. Please help.
Found a bug, when open camera and switch to front camera mode then can't switch back to main camera. error can't connect to camera, phone hangs. help
