Upgrade Samsung Tab 10.1 GT-P7500 | Full Install Custom ROM android 6.0 (AOSP ROM)
Samsung has officially stopped Android software updates for Galaxy Tab 10.1. As it is been years since the device is released, the manufacturer has halted the software development for Galaxy Tab 10.1.
But with the custom ROMs available these days, you can run the latest Android 6.0 firmware on Galaxy Tab 10.1. AOSP is one of the best Custom Android Nougat firmware available for Galaxy Tab 10.1. As the firmware is custom developed, the device is to be rooted and further risks may be involved in installation process. If you are ready to update Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 GT-P7500 to Android 6.0, do follow the below prerequisites to safeguard your personal data to ensure successful installation.

Samsung P7500 Galaxy Tab 10.1 3G Android Tablet was launched in March 2011. It is running on the Nvidia Tegra 2 T20 processor with ULP GeForce GPU. The phone has 1GB RAM and 16/32/64 GB storage of internal storage which is not expandable.
The P7500 Galaxy Tab 10.1 3G has a 10.1 inches WXGA, 800 x 1280 pixels PLS display with a pixel density of 149 ppi. Coming to cameras, it has a 3.15 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front camera for selfies. It has a microUSB port for data syncing and charging. There is a accelerometer sensor present on the P7500 Galaxy Tab 10.1 3G. It is a single SIM smartphone with support for 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS too.
The P7500 Galaxy Tab 10.1 3G runs on Android OS, v3.1 (Honeycomb) and all this is powered by a 7000 mAh battery. It measures 256.7 x 175.3 x 8.6 mm (height x width x thickness) with a total weight of 565 grams including battery.

Perform this procedure only on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 model GT-P7500. This ROM may or may not work with other devices.

- The Galaxy Tab 10.1 needs to be rooted and must have TWRP Recovery.
- Backup your data before proceeding.

Guide to Update Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 GT-p7500 to Android 6.0 AOSP ROM
STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED :
Step 1: Download Android 6.0 Nougat ROM and Google Apps packages from downloads section to your PC. Do not unzip the packages.
Step 2: Connect Galaxy Tab 10.1 to PC using an USB cable.
Step 3: Transfer the downloaded packages into the root of phone/SDcard memory.
Step 4: Once the transfer is done, disconnect the USB and turn off the Galaxy Tab 10.1.
Step 5: Enter custom recovery mode on Galaxy Tab.
Step 6: In custom recovery mode, you can view a list of options which are not available in Stock recovery. Among them, find and select wipe data/factory reset.
Step 7: Now perform a complete data wipe by selecting wipe cache partition.
Step 8: Once done, enter advanced options in recovery mode and select wipe dalvik cache.
Step 9: If you are done with all the above steps, you can flash the firmware package now. Select install aosp-6.0-p4-20160809.zip from SD Card. Confirm the installation and do not interrupt the process.
Step 10: After completion follow Step 9 again and choose Google apps open_gapps-arm-6.0-pico-20200918.zip package in this case.
Step 11: Once the packages installation is completed, select reboot system now option.
