LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
Pre-Requisites
- This will work on Samsung Galaxy J2 SM-J200F (Don’t Try this on Any other device):
- Charge your phone up to 80% or 70%.
- Download the latest Samsung USB Drivers.
- You will lose the original ROM or any CUSTOM ROM if you already installed on your phone. So make sure to Backup your phone before doing this step using TWRP or CWM or any Custom Recovery.
- You can also backup all your Data.
- You must install TWRP or any Custom Recovery on your phone.
- Download all the Zip files from below and Place it in your phone’s root of internal memory or to SD Card.
- Rooting your phone will void the warranty.
- Make sure to take the complete backup of your phone before starting this process.
- Rooting your phone can damage your phone permanently.

Steps to Be Followed
Step 1: Download Lineage OS 14.1 latest android OS Custom ROM packages from downloads section to your PC. Do not unzip the packages.
Step 2: Connect Samsung Galaxy J2 SM-J200F to PC using an USB cable.
Step 3: Transfer the downloaded packages into the root of phone or SD card memory.
Step 4: Once the transfer is done, disconnect the USB and turn off the Samsung Galaxy J2 SM-J200F.
Step 5: Enter custom recovery mode on Samsung Galaxy J2 SM-J200F.
Turn on the device by holding Volume up+Home Button + Power buttons together until you see the recovery mode.
Step 6: In custom recovery mode, you can view a list of options which are not available in Stock recovery. Among them, find and select wipe data/factory reset.
Step 7: Now perform a complete data wipe by selecting wipe cache partition.
Step 8: Once done, enter advanced options in recovery mode and select wipe dalvik cache.
Step 9: If you are done with all the above steps, you can flash the firmware package now. Select lineage-14.1-20200302-UNOFFICIAL-j2lte.zip. Confirm the installation and do not interrupt the process.
Step 10: After completion follow Step 9 again and choose open_gapps-arm-7.1-pico-20201223.zip package in this case.
Step 11: Then install boot file.
Step 11: Once the packages installation is completed, select reboot system now option.
